“Global China Studies is probably the most flexible major at NYU Shanghai. We have a very diverse set of interests, from the Chinese classics, economic development, international relations, environmental studies, and even German history, but the core interest that binds us is the phenomenon that is China, and the many ways its importance is felt in different fields. Essentially, it's a recognition that China matters, and that because it matters, we ought to study it and pay close attention, whether we're coming from a background in business, policy, law, the arts, or academia.”
