“My Global China Studies capstone looks at how Chinese media is utilized as a political signaling tool in Sino-Indian border conflicts. I developed my interest in China-South Asia strategic studies after interning in a D.C. policy research center, in their South Asia program, where I was able to apply my knowledge of Chinese history and politics to examine China's growing role in South Asia. I am attracted to working at the nexus of academics and politics, and feel that my GCS education has positioned me to pursue a wide scope of China-related careers.”
